THE ultimate festival camping list
As music festival season slowly creeps upon us all, I thought there was no better time than now to unleash my go-to festival camping list. This list has been a compilation of needs/wants throughout various festivals and through LOTS of trial and error. This is my personal camping list, I advise that you definitely make it your own and add/remove things to match your personal wants/needs. I personally like breaking down my list into 4 parts: campsite necessities, food, personal items, and first aid. I do this so I don't overwhelm myself with a massive list when I actually start to pack things up, and so I'm able to compartmentalize my packing so I'm not scrambling to look for things when I'm at my campsite.
Campsite Necessities:
- TENT - please don't be that person that literally forget's your tent! A lot of times, camping festivals have small tents available for sale at their general stores for those that forget their tents. Although this is kind of convenient, it can be a little expensive and take away from your weekend budget for merch/food/and other festival expenses.
- Canopy - y'all.. it gets HOT out there, no matter the state.
- Tapestries/flags - these help blocking out the heat and make your campsite easily recognizable, especially when you're like me and forget what your campsite looks like.
- Biodegradable trash bags - alright y'all, here's the thing: we have ONE earth and we are responsible for taking care of it! Even at festivals, you should be separating your garbage from your recyclables. I strongly recommend that even in your personal life, you make the contentious decision to use biodegradable trash bags as plastic trash bags take so much longer to decompose :(

- Good hiking boots - I definitely recommend in investing in a pair of Doc Martens, although they're a little on the pricier end and are harder to break in, they last forever and ever and once they're fully broken in, they are SUPER comfy!

- Sandwich bread
- PB&J
- Protein bars
- Pedialyte or IV hydration packs - PLEASE stay hydrated! I know that sometimes we forget to drink water in the myst of everything, but you do not want to be caught being dehydrated or with heat exhaustion.
